[Ii2-announce] Between a rock and a hard place

Earlier this year I have attempted to support Mac OS X 10.4 while I am  
myself running on 10.5 exclusively. This has turned out to be a  
nightmare and I have to conclude it is not possible. In the meantime I  
had already updated a few i-Packages with these builds and when I  
found out it did not work with 10.4 I blocked them

As I do not have a G4 & Intel 10.4 setup (and rebooting takes too much  
time for me to be able to do my maintenance work in the few minutes  
here and there or in the background as I am working on something else)  
and buying a G4 mini and an Intel mini to support 10.4 which I do not  
use myself is a bit out of budget ;-).

So, being stuck with a few broken i-Packages and no way to get them  
built for 10.4, I have decided to rebuild them, this time for 10.5  
only. This effectively means I am dropping 10.4 form my maintenance  
setup.

Secondly: I have removed sources for previous TeX versions from my  
systems (space problems) and I will not anymore provide/maintain my  
own distribution. Instead I have started to use TeX Live (installed  
directly from TeX Live) and what I will do is maintain stuff like the  
TL GW Extras i-Package which contains GTAMacFonts support for TeX Live.
